Imran Khan is one such unfortunate actor who, despite making an impressive debut, couldn't make it big in the Bollywood. The nephew of superstar Aamir Khan worked as child artist in couple of Aamir's films, and made his debut as a male lead in the 2008 romantic comedy drama Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na that was produced by his uncles Aamir and Mansoor Khan. While Imran received rave reviews for his debut performance, and won awards for the same, the films he worked on after that mostly critical and commercial failures. His last film Katti Batti (2015) oppsite Kangana Ranaut was a huge flop too, and the actor was away from spotlight since.
Apparently Imran was also approached for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's much awaited project Mirzya, but things did not work out and the role went to Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor.
News now has it the actor may have picked up his next film is all set to feature in a film to be produced by Anurag Kashyap. The untitled project is supposed to be based on a dark subject and will be directed by debutant actor-turned-director Raj Singh Chaudhary, best known for his roles in Antardwand and Gulaal. The film is expected to go on floors in 2017. Other details of the plot, cast and release date of the film have not been revealed yet.
Let's hope the 33-year-old actor, who has been written off by media as a "one-film wonder", will be able to turn around with this film.
