's marriage is finally over.
Heard, 30, filed a petition for divorce last May to end their marriage of 15 months. This was followed by nasty accusations and allegations from both parties, making the divorce process even more turbulent. (Also read: Amber accuses Depp for trespassing
At a hearing on Friday (13 January 2017), which neither Heard nor Depp attended, a judge signed papers to finalise their divorce.

actor had an idyllic beach wedding with the Drive Angry
actress in his 45-acre private island in the Bahamas in February 2015. The now former couple, who co-starred in The Rum Diary

Five months back the former couple reached a settlement, and a day before Friday's court hearing, Heard filed papers requesting that Depp be deposed if the court did not enter the settlement agreement as a judgment at Friday's hearing.
After the divorce was finalised, Heard's attorney told media, "It is a great day. All Amber wanted was a divorce and now she has it. In the words of Gerald Ford, 'Our long national nightmare is over'."
