Akki hopes for a good film with KJo, Salman

Close pals filmmaker Karan Johar and actors Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have reportedly joined hands to launch their first ever project together. While Karan and Salman are on board as the producers of the untitled film, the Airlift actor will portray the role of male lead in the film.
The news was confirmed by the three industry superstars on their respective twitter accounts.
"Joining hands on a project where @akshaykumar is the hero and will be co produced by @karanjohar and #SKF", tweeted Salman.
"Coming together for a film produced by friends, @BeingSalmanKhan and @karanjohar, starring me! Out in 2018", tweeted Akshay.
“Truly a fraternity feeling when friends come together to make a special film!!! (sic)”, tweeted Karan.
When asked about the film, Akshay was quoted saying, "I am very excited to be a part of the film, and (I am) hoping that a very good film is going to be made."
The film will be directed by Punjabi director Anurag Singh best known for the Punjabi romcom Jatt & Juliet. This film will mark his debut as a director in the Bollywood industry.
Akshay and Salman have previously worked together as co-stars in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Jaaneman. Both the actors have also worked with Karan albeit on different films - Salman in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Akshay in Brothers.
