About this Award
The Star Guild Award, also known as the Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Award, is an honour given by the Apsara Producers Guild to recognize excellence in film and television. The filmmaker Amit Khanna is said to have originated the Star Guild Awards in 2004. The award comes in form of a 22-karat gold statuette which was sculpted and designed by the Indian jewellery brand Tanishq. Nominations for the awards are decided by selected members of the guild, while winners are selected based on votes cast by all guild members.
