9th Filmfare Awards (1962)

The 9th Filmfare Awards was held in May 20, 1962 and the event honored the best Bollywood films of 1961.
Raj Kapoor's "Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai" emerged the biggest winner on the night after bagging Best Film and Best Actor awards in addition to other technical awards. Vyjayanthimala won her third Filmfare and second Best Actress award for "Gunga Jumna".
