78th Academy Awards (2006)
The 78th Academy Awards honored the best films of 2005. The award ceremony was held on 5th March 2006 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. Jon Stewart was the anchor of the show. The nominees were announced on 31st January 2006 by Academy president Sid Ganis and actress Mira Sorvino, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in the Academy's Beverly Hills headquarters. Brokeback Mountain, Crash, King Kong and Memoirs of a Geisha were the movies to win maximum awards.
